The authentic INDIA oilstones are artificial stones made up of abrasives, whose elements undergo a chemical transformation in electric oven on temperatures of 2200° C to 2800° C. This produces a totally new material harder than any material that can be found in nature, except for diamond. This abrasive, marked Alundum, artificially obtained, has an unsurpassed purity and regularity. It is broken, grinded, and sorted by sieves depending on the grain dimension. Then it is given the wished form by adding an agglomerant. After that it is fired in an oven on a high temperature, and the INDIA oilstones are finished.
